Timber has been rumoured to be one of the players Liverpool have targeted to add to their defence ahead of next season. And the 21-year-old has now suggested that his club have already agreed to let him go. “A transfer is getting closer and closer, so to speak,” Timber explained to De Telegraaf. “There is a lot of concrete interest and I have made agreements with Ajax. Last year Ajax asked me to stay at least one more season and to extend my contract. As a club boy I did that with love and after the season we will look at the situation again.” Timber also claimed that he’s been speaking with his Dutch national teams about a potential move this year. With Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo regulars among that particular group, this could be of interest to Liverpool. “With the Dutch national team, I talk a lot with guys who play football abroad. I want to make that step one day,” ...

The former Arsenal Academy graduate has been linked with a return to England this summer and a report from Fichajes claims that Jurgen Klopp club is an admirer of the talented young midfielder and he wants the Reds to sign him. The 20-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him. He could develop into a top-class player for Liverpool with the right coaching and experience. It is no secret that Liverpool will have to bring in central midfield reinforcements and the American international would be a solid, long-term investment for them. Valencia are currently fighting for survival in the Spanish top flight and Musah will look to leave them if they go down at the end of the season. The 20-year-old is too good to play in the second division next sea...

Liverpool keen on €18m-rated Dutchman this summer

Image
Liverpool and Newcastle United are reportedly keen on the Dutch international defender Perr Schuurs. The 23-year-old joined Torino at the start of the season and he has impressed with his performances for the Italian outfit. A report from Calciomercato claims that Liverpool could look to bring him in as a partner for Virgil van Dijk and Newcastle are keeping tabs on the player as well. Schuurs could be a quality long-term acquisition for the two Premier League clubs and he could form a quality partnership with the likes of Van Dijk or Sven Botman. Newcastle have shown impressive defensive organisation this season, but they will need to improve further in the coming years. The Magpies are looking to put together a formidable squad capable of challenging for major trophies. On the other hand, it has been a disappointing season for Liverpool and they will look to get back to challenging for the major trophies next year. Bringing in a quality defender should be a top priori...

Liverpool could try double transfer raid on PL rivals but face likely Arsenal & Chelsea competition

Image
Liverpool could reportedly try signing both Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo from Brighton this summer. As noted by Fabrizio Romano in today’s exclusive CaughtOffside column ‘the Daily Briefing’, the Reds want to bring in two or three new signings in midfield this summer, and there are few better on the market right now than Mac Allister and Caicedo. According to The Athletic, Liverpool have an interest in both players, though Caicedo would be more expensive than his Seagulls teammate, while he’s also likely to be of interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. The Athletic also claim Chelsea could be rivals for Mac Allister, so neither of these deals will be easy, even if it is suggested that Brighton could be open to selling both players. Roberto De Zerbi has done an outstanding job at Brighton, but one imagines it could really hurt the club if two such important players leave in one go, following on from Leandro Trossard’s departure in January, while Marc Cucurella and Y...

Liverpool eyeing up a move for 13-goal attacker, four other PL clubs in the race

Image
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze. The 23-year-old has been a key player for the La Liga club and he has 13 goals at 11 assists to his name across all competitions. According to a report from Defensa Central, Liverpool will face competition from Premier League clubs Arsenal, West Ham Everton and Aston Villa. It is no secret that Liverpool will need to add more depth to their attack and signing a top-quality right-sided winger could prove to be a wise decision. Jurgen Klopp does not have an alternative to Mohamed Salah and he has had to use players like Harvey Elliott on the right flank, although the youngster is more suited to a central role. Bringing in a specialist cover for Salah should be a top priority for Liverpool at the end of the season. The Reds have players who can operate as the left-sided winger along with Luis Diaz, but they need more options on the right. Chukwueze will add pace, flair, creativity and goals t...

Edwards has a big future ahead of him and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the two clubs. Liverpool will need to add more creativity to their side, and Edwards is capable of playing as a central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. His versatility will be an added bonus for the Reds. Working with a manager like Jurgen Klopp will help the midfielder develop further and fulfil his potential. Similarly, Newcastle...

Liverpool want 22-year-old with 10 goal contributions after missing out on Bellingham

Image

The 22-year-old midfielder has been a key player for OGC Nice this season and his performances have attracted the attention of a number of European clubs. A report from the Independent claims that Liverpool are prepared to make a move for him after missing out on Jude Bellingham. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder was reportedly a top target for Liverpool, but they have had to cool their interest in the England international because of the finances involved. Liverpool are in need of multiple midfield signings and they cannot afford to spend a club-record fee on just one player. Thuram would be a more reasonable acquisition. The Frenchman is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him. He  could develop into a top-class player under the management of Jurgen Klopp. The German has nurtured a number of young talents during his time at Liverpool and he could help the 22-year-ol...

Liverpool now set their sights on signing Brazilian attacker with £163m release clause

Image
Liverpool are one of the teams looking to sign Flamengo’s teenage sensation Matheus Franca. That’s according to Brazilian outlet Torcedores. They claim that the Reds join Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Arsenal in having the 19-year-old ‘in their sights.’ Currently, Arsenal are named as the side with the biggest interest. It’s claimed that in a bid to ‘get ahead’ of their rivals,  the Gunners will scout Franca in the flesh during Flamengo’s Copa Libetadores clash with Atletico Nublense tonight. If any side wishes to prise him away from Flamengo without a fight, they’ll have to pay pretty big, though. According to Torcedores, the teenager has a release clause of almost £163m. Obviously, the Serie A side can’t expect to get anything like that for a player who’s played only 43 times for them.  But with the South American market growing among Premier League sides, they’ll hope to get a decent chunk of it. Liverpool looking at Franca Franca is a relatively tall forward ...

Liverpool in talks to sign £21m star 'better than Bellingham in every way

Image
Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool are keen to sign Ryan Gravenberch and Rafael van der Vaart believes the Bayern Munich midfielder is ‘better than Jude Bellingham’. True or not, he’s certainly cheaper than Jude Bellingham.   Borussia Dortmund are demanding a fee well in excess of £100 million for the all-action England international. Gravenberch, presuming Bayern are willing to sell after just one underwhelming campaign at the Bundesliga champions, would cost a mere fraction of such a fee, having failed to make a single league start since his £21 million arrival from Ajax.  According to The Mirror, Gravenberch is open to joining Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s side are understood to be willing to stump up around £200,000 for the Dutch international too; a 20-year-old who’s technical ability and youth should help Klopp restructure an ageing midfield.  Gravenberch was dubbed a ‘better version of Paul Pogba’ during his time at Ajax.   Former Tottenh...

Image
Liverpool have decided to make midfield their priority in this summer’s transfer market, with Reds manager Jurgen Klopp set to have a key role in choosing who to bring in, according to CaughtOffside columnist Fabrizio Romano . It’s been a difficult season for Liverpool, who are facing an uphill struggle to make it into the top four, so it’s clear major changes will be needed throughout this squad. Midfield looks a particular area of weakness for the Merseyside giants, with the likes of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and James Milner no longer looking like ideal long-term options, while both Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are poised to be out of contract at the end of the season. It remains to be seen who Liverpool will try to sign, but Romano says midfield is a priority and that Klopp will have a key role in identifying candidates for that area of the squad. Regarding reports of an important Liverpool recruitment meeting taking place last week – honestly...

The online news portal claims Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of Mac Allister’s versatility and wants to bring the Argentina international to Anfield. The Reds have decided not to pursue a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham at the end of the season because of the money involved and have now set sights on alternative targets. The 19-year-old had been linked with a move to Klopp’s side, however, it is believed that any move for the England international could cost well in excess of £100m. Bellingham joined Dortmund from Birmingham City aged 17 in 2020 and has racked up 128 appearances, scored 20 goals, and provided 25 assists across all competitions. This season, he has been ever-present for the Bundesliga side as they continue their push to clinch the league title. The England midfielder ...

Midfielder Xavi Simons has the potential to leave PSV this summer and is on the radars of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. This is according to Fichajes, who say that the interest in Simons is “crazy” from the Premier League trio who are all very hot on the Dutch midfielder. Simons joined PSV from Paris Saint Germain in June last year, and has scored 17 goals in 49 appearances with 14 of those coming in the league, where he is joint-top scorer. The 19-year old has the ability to play anywhere across the midfield, with most of his games this season being played at attacking midfield, versatility being key to many teams in this day and age. Simons could be a great back-up option to Martin Odegaard at Arsenal, while the potential Chelsea have of losing Mason Mount and/or Conor Gallagher this summer may allow the PSV youngster to come in and fill the void left by the England pair. As for Liverpool, they are set for a big midfield rebuild this summer with the likes of Mount...

Liverpool may be closing in on two signings after giving up on Jude Bellingham transfer

Image
Liverpool may be forced to look elsewhere for central midfield reinforcements after cooling their interest in Jude Bellingham due to his hefty asking price. The Reds are keen on acquiring the services of Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Wolves’ Matheus Nunes with both looking like real possibilities for the summer. Recent reports from the Echo claim that Mount is now Liverpool’s top priority in the centre of the park. Chelsea are keen on keeping him but will be left with no choice apart from selling him if he continues to reject offers from the club’s hierarchy. The 24-year-old has just over 12 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge but agreeing upon an extension has proved to be a worrying struggle. The Blues have proposed a seven-year deal although Mount wants to be contracted for a shorter duration and is reportedly not happy with the money he is being offered. While Bellingham’s £100m plus price tag has put Liverpool off from signing him, the proposition of a reduced rate fo...

Jurgen Klopp could still land €90m midfield target he wanted last summer

Image
Liverpool could make a surprise move for Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni having missed out on the midfielder last summer to the La Liga giants. Los Blancos  beat the Reds to the €80m signing of the French international and it is a scenario that has left Jurgen Klopp’s team struggling in midfield all season long. The Merseyside club will not be getting Jude Bellingham this summer either and now a report states that a move for Tchouameni could be back on. According to  Todofichajes ,  .,Klopp still wants Tchouameni and have been given hope of a move as the midfielder is not fully happy in Madrid.
