Liverpool want £52m bloodhound midfielder as he’s just won the biggest game of his career

Image
Liverpool want Joao Gomes and the midfielder has secured an enormous trophy with Flamengo having won the Copa Libertadores. The Reds’ strange form continued with a 2-1 defeat to Leeds United on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp’s men just seem to take one step forward and then two steps back, failing to form any kind of consistency. Liverpool’s midfield appears to be a major problems with the Reds looking slow, sluggish and passive in midfield. Big additions are expected in that area of the pitch and whilst Jude Bellingham is the key target, others are being linked too. LIVERPOOL WANT JOAO GOMES One name in the mix is Flamengo talent Joao Gomes.SPORT reported in September that Liverpool are battling Real Madrid in the race to sign Gomes, who has a release clause of around €60million (£52million). Flamengo want that full release clause so Liverpool may have to dig deep if they want to sign the Brazilian. Flamengo took on Athletico Paranaense in the final of the Copa Libertadores, essentially...

Liverpool may now have to take brutal transfer decision to continue £85.6m Michael Edwards trend

As the clock reached the hour against Leeds United, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp made two changes in search of a winner. Captain Jordan Henderson replaced Fabinho in defensive midfield,  while Curtis Jones came on for Harvey Elliott on the right side of the diamond.  Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier then resumed play with a goal-kick but a thumping header from Joe Gomez set Liverpool straight back onto the front foot. Jones picked up possession and had a chance to make a rapid impact in a four-versus-three situation.  Roberto Firmino made a run into a huge gap between two Leeds defenders but the midfielder didn’t take the opportunity to slip the ball through to him, instead cutting inside onto in me saschkness From there, he could have instead teed up Darwin Núñez for a shot on the left side of the area, but instead,  he went for goal with a white shirt stood almost directly in front of him. Predictably, the shot wa...

Trent Alexander Arnold’s Liverpool confession should set alarm bells ringing for Reds

Image
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool face an uphill battle to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season after winning just four of their first 12 games in the division T rent Alexander-Arnold has admitted “something’s not going right” at Liverpool – and few people will disagree with that. The Reds are enduring a tricky season, winning just four of their first 12 Premier League games to sit ninth in the table. Jurgen Klopp’s side find themselves 15 points behind leaders Arsenal, 13 adrift of Manchester City in second and eight behind Newcastle in fourth. Their most recent result was a shock 1-0 home defeat to Leeds on Saturday night.Liverpool were billed as Premier League title challengers in pre-season but are now in danger of not even making the top four. That would’ve been unthinkable six months ago, as they tried to become the first English club in history to complete the “Quadruple”. Klopp’s side won the FA Cup and EFL Cup – and they reached the Champions League final. The...

Liverpool have the edge to sign £51.8m midfielder

Image
Liverpool needs a talented central midfielder as soon as possible, and recent reports have connected them to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic of Serbia. It was reported a few days ago by CWM that the Reds are prepared to sign the Lazio midfielder in exchange for Joe Gomez and cash. La Gazzetta Dello Sport has lately published an intriguing update (news image provided below). According to a reputable Italian news outlet, Juventus are now genuinely interested in signing the former Genk midfielder, whose current deal with Lazio expires in 2024. Milinkovic-agent, Savic’s Mateja Kezman, and Lotito have verbally agreed that the midfielder may depart in January for the proper price. Instead of transferring him to any Serie A opponent, the president would prefer to sell his finest asset to suitors outside. Therefore, Liverpool is superior to the Bianconeri. According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Lazio is asking for a total of 60 million euros (£51.8 million) to sell the 27-year-old star, with add-...

£30m star could be ideal Salah replacement at Anfield

The Reds may have broken their transfer record by paying £85 million to lure Darwin Nunez away from Benfica in the summer, but manager Jurgen Klopp will have another chance to bring in reinforcements at the turn of the year. According to Spanish sources, Liverpool is preparing to make a bid for Sulemana in order to beat Barcelona and Real Madrid to the services of the Rennes star. According to the report, Klopp, whose side is already two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal, has requested a January move for the winger compared to former Reds talisman Sadio Mane, with a bid worth close to £30 million on the table. Sulemana only joined Rennes last year in a £17.3 million deal from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland, giving the Ligue 1 club a strong negotiating position. This is due to the fact that the 20-year-contract, old’s which is worth just under £10,000 per week, is not set to expire until the summer of 2026. Rennes beat Manchester United and Ajax to Sulemana’s signature wh...

Liverpool should fulfil transfer dream and use Luis Díaz model to give Jürgen Klopp £27m boost

Over the summer Liverpool decided not to pursue a midfielder until the last few days of the window, which saw the Reds bring in Arthur Melo in a lot of haste.  That transfer has failed to reap any rewards, with the Brazilian ruled out for the considerable future, and FSG are now back to the drawing board in January. Liverpool simply cannot afford not to sign a midfielder, with the Reds' midfield already struggling this season. Fabinho in particular has dropped off, and has struggled under the burden of having to carry the holding midfield position for several years now. As a result, Liverpool have looked a little frail in midfield and have been overrun at times by the opposition in games that have often cost crucial points for the Reds.. If the club are serious about maintaining their status in the Premier League and the Champions League as one of the best clubs in the world, then Julian Ward simply has to enter the transfer window, and he could do s...

Liverpool in talks to agree deal for £120,000 a week Man City star

Liverpool are reportedly ready to compete with PSG and Barcelona for Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva. Pep Guardiola confirmed last year that the Portugal international wanted to leave the club, but he eventually stayed to help the Citizens win their sixth Premier League title. Silva’s future is once again in doubt, and Pep Guardiola has admitted that he cannot guarantee the ex-Monaco player will stay at the club beyond the end of the summer. “I always say that I want what is best for the players.” Bernardo should stay, in my opinion. 100%.  H owever, if you want to leave and have an offer, clubs will come to an agreemen He’s a special player, but I’m not sure what will happen .” We received no offers last season, either. Bernardo is prepared and training hard for Sunday. “I talk a lot with Bernardo, with everyone, maybe because I’m getting older and we know each other so well.”  I’m more at ease as a manager with them because I know them. “Their emotions, the g...

Jurgen Klopp urges Liverpool to keep fighting after Leeds 'setback'

Image
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has called on his players to stick together and fight their way through their troubles this season. The Reds fell to their first Premier League defeat in front of an Anfield crowd in almost five years on Saturday as they were bested 2-1 by Leeds United, with an 89th-minute strike from Crysencio Summerville bringing Virgil van Dijk's home league record to an end at 70 games. Joe Gomez played a blind pass towards Alisson. Just like his manager Jurgen Klopp ahead of kick-off, Liverpool's keeper lost his footing, watching on in agony as Rodrigo gleefully accepted the gift of an open goal. Mohamed Salah only needed ten minutes to fire Liverpool level. Lining up in a narrow diamond formation, a lot of the creative burden fell upon Liverpool's full-backs. Andy Robertson collected Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross at the back post, arcing the ball over Fabinho but into Salah's stride. Despite their lowly standing of 18th at kick-off, Klopp warn...

Liverpool 1-2 Leeds: Anfield stronghold over in woeful defeat

Image
Rodrigo 4′ Mohamed Salah  14′ (assist: Robertson) Summerville 89′ Liverpool have long been their own worst enemy, making their task harder before they’ve even had a chance to acquaint themselves with the opposition – and it was the same against Leeds. An overhit back pass from Joe Gomez, a slip from Alisson and Virgil van Dijk switching off made for a calamity of errors inside just four minutes, Rodrigo could not believe his luck. Thankfully the Reds, continuing in the 4-4-2 diamond from midweek, did not take too long to strike back, with a  Salah  volley at the back post, courtesy of Andy Robertson‘s cross. That’s seven goals in five games against Leeds – they must be sick at the sight of him. While back on level terms, Liverpool continued to gift chances to the visitors throughout the frenetic start, easily losing possession and being forced into errors. Brenden Aaronson struck the crossbar, Darwin Nunez then...

Image
Liverpool and Manchester City to battle for the signature of Brazilian young sensation Endrick Liverpool’s season has come to a disappointing halt after a dismal start and any hope of a title race with rivals Manchester City is well and truly over with a top four,  our best hope of a good season come May. While their on-field rivalry has taken a backseat this season, both clubs could go up against each other in the transfer market. This time according to the Liverpool Echo, the fight would be to acquire the services of Brazilian teenage sensation and Palmeiras forward Endrick.  He has been in the news for all the right reasons and could be one of the biggest talents to come out of Brazil in recent years. Liverpool ready to lead to sign £320,000 a week star

In the summer transfer window, Liverpool desperately needed to improve their midfield.  They failed to entice Tchouameni and instead enticed the injury-prone Arthur on deadline day. The Reds need to revamp their center of the park, and reports indicate that they are interested in hiring Frenkie de Jong. According to a recent ESPN report, Liverpool are ready to lead the charge to sign Frenkie de Jong, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United. According to the reputable media outlet, the Dutch international may decide to leave Barcelona during the winter transfer window, and the Reds have already made contact with his representatives. The midfielder, however, chose to remain at the Nou Camp. Unfortunately,  he has spent the majority of the current season warming the bench under Xavi.  So a January departure from Barcelona is a possibility. The 25-year-old was a standout at Ajax. In the 2018-19 season, he won the domestic double and helped the team reach th...
