Liverpool blocked transfer of star man ahead of January window

Image
Saudi Arabia’s big target for 2024 is Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah but the Egyptian superstar will not be leaving Anfield in January as the Merseyside club have blocked any move. That is according to Football Insider, who reports that the Reds will not sell their star man before the season ends, even if a huge offer arrives on their doorstep during the winter transfer window. The Saudis targeted the 31-year-old in the summer but a move never materialised as Liverpool would not entertain it. Salah is an icon in that region of the World and it is the reason why the Saudi Arabian clubs are willing to part with huge money for the winger. A January move is not possible but with a contract expiring at Anfield in 2025, it will be interesting to see if the Reds will sell Salah next summer. There is no way Liverpool would sell Salah midway through a season as the superstar is crucial to the way Jurgen Klopp’s team play. The Egypt international has 10 goals and four assists across 13 app...

The reds now ‘in talks’ with German record-breaker – 5 other clubs interested

Image
Liverpool are one of six sides now claimed to be in talks over a deal for Schalke midfielder Assan Ouedraogo, who at 17 recently broke two club records. Following Schalke’s relegation from the Bundesliga last season, Ouedraogo has emerged as a regular fixture of their side in the German second tier. That included a goal on his debut for the first team in July, becoming the youngest player and goalscorer in the club’s history during a 5-3 defeat to Hamburg. The 17-year-old has so far featured in all 10 games in the 2.Bundesliga, starting seven, impressing in central midfield and earning comparisons to Xabi Alonso. His progress has not gone unnoticed, nor has his availability for a low fee due to a release clause in his contract at Schalke. Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has furthered that this week, by explaining that the Reds have held talks with the youngster’s representatives. Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig, AC Milan and Napoli have also initiated c...

The reds favourites to sign highly-rated 22-year-old defender as rival club pull out of deal

Image
According to  SportBILD , the club are running the rule over highly-rated 22-year-old Portuguese defender, Goncalo Inacio. The outlet note that Liverpool are now favourites to land the player, whilst  TeamTalk  named Man United as pulling out of the running because of financial constraints – given that Inacio will cost the full amount of his release clause (€60m/£52.3m) for any interested parties. With only nine goals conceded so far, the Anfield outfit can already boast one of the most miserly defences in the English top-flight. Inacio will therefore need to hit the ground running if he were to join Liverpool in January. A left-sided centre-back that is, apparently, comfortable with the ball at his feet and playing out from the back, he would arguably be a perfect partner for captain, Virgil van Dijk, so it’s understandable why the Reds are seemingly going ‘all in.’

The reds could get the opportunity to seal the transfer of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder

Image
Liverpool could get the opportunity to seal the transfer of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone in the near future as he’s open to a new challenge. The Frenchman attracted interest from Liverpool and Juventus in the summer, though interest from both clubs ended up cooling towards the end of the window, according to Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive column for   the Daily Briefing . Kone remains one to watch for January, however, as Romano admits there’s a chance he could move for around €45million, though he also stated that there’s nothing concrete with Liverpool, Juve or any other clubs at this precise moment in time. It may be that the 22-year-old will end up receiving offers closer to January, though, so LFC supporters will surely want to keep an eye on his situation as he could be ideal to continue rebuilding their midfield. Liverpool lost some big names over the summer, including Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, so there could be room for further signings in midf...

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger

Image
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto. A report from 90 Min claims that Liverpool are keen on the 23-year-old attacker and they sent scouts to watch the player in action on Monday night. Neto was in action for Portugal against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 23-year-old winger has had an impressive start to the Premier League campaign, scoring once and picking up five assists in eight league matches. He could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Liverpool if they manage to secure his services. The Reds need to add more depth in the wide areas and Neto would be the ideal fit for them. Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz are the only natural wingers at the club right now. The Premier League star is versatile enough to operate on both flanks and his versatility could make him an asset for Jurgen Klopp, who prefers tactically and positionally flexible players. Liverpool winger Salah has been linked with a move away from the ...

Harvey Elliott defends Jordan Henderson after Wembley boos – “Its annoying”

Image
Harvey Elliott   has defended   Jordan Henderson   and believes his former Liverpool captain deserves better treatment. Al Ettifaq midfielder Henderson was jeered during England’s 1-0 win over Australia at Wembley on Friday. Henderson captained England, with Harry Kane rested, but was booed when he was replaced by Kalvin Phillips in the second half. He completed a controversial switch to Al Ettifaq from Liverpool in the summer having been a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, with homosexuality illegal in Saudi Arabia, but former Anfield team-mate Elliott has backed the 33-year-old. “It’s upsetting, Hendo is a massive inspiration, not just to myself but to many around the world,” said the Liverpool midfielder. “For what he has done for England and English football it’s not nice to see. It’s his decision, it’s his career. As a nation we need to get behind these players and support them. It wasn’t nice, but knowing Hendo I’m sure it hasn’t fazed him. “He’s a positive-mi...

Ryan Gravenberch unveils the key reason he joined Liverpool this summer

Image
Liverpool underwent a midfield revamp this summer that saw Jurgen Klopp bring in four new players, which included the transfer of Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich.  The Reds signed the Dutch star on Deadline Day this summer as part of a £34.2m deal with the Bundesliga outfit. The 21-year-old was just a fringe player at the German champions and had become frustrated by the lack of game time in Munich. Therefore, Gravenberch decided to move to Anfield and the midfielder has stated the reason why he made the switch. The Reds star said via Fabrizio Romano about his move to the Premier League: “Klopp was key for me to join Liverpool. I spoke to him before and he gave me a good feeling. He said to me: I want you. “He gave me his plans and he explained everything, gave me such a good feeling that my decision was the first one.” Gravenberch has impressed so far during his first seven games, scoring one goal and assisting a further two, despite not being a starter. ...
